On a trip home, I found myself stuck behind, not one, but two vehicles going no where fast. The car in front of me stopped beause it’s path was blocked by an on coming vehicle that was unloading. They had obviously being doing the uncomfortable dance for a while when the driver of the vehicle unloading approached his ‘captive’ driver and said: “I’m unloading, what do you expect me to do?” Interesting question, particularly as I’m sure what he was doing was actually illegal! But it got me thinking…
In order to continue my journey I had to reverse all the way down the road to turn around and then find myself a new route home. I could have simply waited for the unloading to stop, but who knows when that would have been?
“Even if you‘re on the right road, you‘ll get run over if you just sit there.” – Will Rogers
Sometimes we find ourselves on the right road but with obstacles ahead of us. We need to know when to wait to complete the journey and when to regroup and find another way to reach our goal!
