When travelling around London at the weekend you need to do so armed with a plan. A plan that provides you with a variety of options to get you safely from wherever you end up to wherever your final destination happens to be.
It was a chilly Saturday when I left home without a plan and found myself standing in front of a closed station and (un)helpful guards simply saying that no trains are leaving from this station today! That’s it London (Bridge) was closed and I was left to my own devices, which when you don’t usually use public transport is not such a good thing.
But instead of throwing my hands in the air in dismay, I decided to explore my surroundings. Armed with my trusty companion, my iPhone, I went for a walk…
Here are some of my views on my walk along the bank of the Thames against the imposing back drop of Tower Bridge.
